Who would think that dairy products were not healthy? We are told that milk does a body good! We are even told that milk can help you loose weight! Then why are so many Americans obese, and many are getting luekemia, osteoporosis, heart disease, and hip fractures? Could it be that we have been told a lie? | Deadly Proteins Detected in Dairy Products |
 New substantial evidence is just in that gives us more confirmation why we should avoid ALL animal products; yes, even dairy!
Prions are infectioius proteins, which cause mad cow disease in cattle, deer, sheep, and people. These proteins will usually incubate for years before the animal or person gets sick. These dangerous prions are transmitted from food to people. According to Dr. John McDougall in the March 2008 issue of The McDougall Newsletter, "Prior to the use of the latest technology, this infectious agent was hard to detect in milk. However, that changed with the use by these investigators of new methods employing the Alicon PrioTrap.
The most alarming statement in this articles is that "9 out of 10 cattle in the US are infected with bovine leukemia viruses and that 3/4 of people (tested) show immunologic signs suggesting infection." Dr. McDougall urges evereyone to assume that cow's milk contains these infectious agents like prions, viruses, and microbes.
Prions are the mutated proteins that cause Creutzfelt Jacob Disease, or Mad Cow Disease in humans. CJD causes the brain to have holes like Swiss cheese. The symptoms are very similar to Alzeimer's disease. And it is incurable and terminal.
It is a known fact that cow's milk and milk products are high in cholesterol, saturated fat, and animal protein. Even the calcium present in milk is inorganic, due to the high heat required to kill bacteria in raw milk. Therefore, it is not even useable by the body! Also, milk contains very little magnesium or phosphorous, which are both required for the body to absorb calcium. My own dear Mother ate and drank dairy products all of her life, and yet she has suffered with osteoporosis for years. Milk certainly did not do her body good!
Doug and I recommend getting your calcium from dark green and dark orange vegetables and fruits. This calcium is organic and fully absorbed by the body. | Don't Neglect Your Colon |
 There is an old saying that "death begins in the colon". According to Dr. Norman Walker in his book, Colon Health The Key to a Vibrant Life, "constipation is the number one affliction underlying nearly every ailment; it can be imputed to be the initial, primary cause of nearly every disturbance of the human system".
The leading over-the-counter (OTC) drug sold in this nation is laxatives. Why? Because Americans are consuming primarily processed, overcooked, devitalized, fiberless foods, which are just putrifying in the colon. Like an old pipe caked with rust and gunk, the colon wall can become impacted with fecal matter which can adhere to the wall of the colon for days, weeks, even months! | Zucchini Slaw |

A unique blend of flavors has made this one of my favorite slaws. NOTE: Always purchase organic vegetables and fruits if possible.
1 head of cabbage
2 zucchini
1 carrot
Process these 3 ingredients, using the shredder attachment on your food processor. (I love the Kitchen Aid Food Processor, which can be purchased from Hallelujah Acres by caling 1-800-915-9355 and using our PIN, which is ACO.) Transfer to another bowl and stir in the following:
1/2 cup diced sweet onion
1/4 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon Frontier or Simply Organic Garlic Powder
pinch of stevia (all-natural sweetener)
DRESSING:
1/3 cup organic salsa
2 tablespoons purple-label Vegenaise (refrigerator section of your local health food store)
Blend dressing into slaw. Sprinkle with paprika. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
